Allison Gann is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who brings compassion, intelligence, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tarleton State University, Allison has built a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and a deep understanding of the human experience. Her warm and approachable demeanor creates a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their emotions and working toward meaningful change.

Allison has extensive experience working across various levels of care, having served as an Inpatient Therapist at Carrollton Springs and Collin Springs, where she provided comprehensive mental health services to individuals in need of intensive support. She also completed her clinical internship at New Leaf Services, where she honed her skills in individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and client advocacy. Her experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings has given her a well-rounded perspective on mental health care and a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit.

Allison is passionate about working with teens, adults, and families, and she is dedicated to helping her clients build the skills they need to thrive. Whether she’s supporting a teen navigating anxiety, an adult processing trauma, or a family working through relational challenges, Allison’s empathetic and evidence-based approach ensures that every client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Her commitment to meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them on their journey toward healing makes her a trusted and effective therapist.

Allison is currently under supervision with GearingUp’s Assistant Director June Holcomb, LPC-S, and she is being personally trained by Dr. Sylvia Gearing in all of GearingUP’s clinical programs, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Allison is also completing advanced professional CEU trainings from world-renowned experts, as well as receiving in-person supervision and coaching from GearingUP’s senior clinicians. This rigorous training ensures that Allison is equipped with the latest evidence-based techniques to help her clients achieve lasting results.
