How family therapy works at GearingUP

We begin by understanding what is happening from each person’s point of view. Sessions may include the whole family, a parent and child, or parents alone, depending on what will help most.

Families learn to communicate without escalating, to solve problems together, and to repair after hard moments. Parents learn clear, calm ways to respond to challenging behavior, and children and teens learn skills for handling strong emotions.

Frisco West Reviews

I give Dr. Nathalie Raper and GearingUp five stars without hesitation! Dr. Raper has been an incredible guide during my parenting sessions. She creates a truly supportive environment, giving me the crucial space I need to grow and evolve as a parent. I’m not just receiving advice; I’m learning practical, helpful skills that I can immediately apply to ensure my child thrives and becomes the best they can be. I am deeply grateful for her consistent support and expertise. If you're looking for professional, empowering, and truly effective parenting support, Dr. Raper is the one to see!

My experience with Yazmin is that she is a patient listener and a reliable teacher of skills, whether DBT or CBT.
